John Haider: Health Promoter
John Mohammad Haider is a Certified Health Promoter for the Afghan Elderly Association. He was born in Kunduz, Afghanistan and resided there for 36 years. He graduated from Habibia High School in Kabul, Afghanistan and received his diploma. John then pursued his education in Science Faculty Kabul University where he acquired his B.S in Math and Physics. In 1983 he moved to Los Angeles, CA and graduated from Academy Pacific in Hollywood, CA. he has worked for Franklin Templeton in San Mateo, CA, where he acquired his skills and led him to work with IBM computers as a Computer operator for many years. Since November 2006, He has been proudly working with the AEA His presence, time, skills, and abilities are greatly appreciated by everyone in the AEA.

Humaira Moazi: Health Promoter
Humaira Moazi is a Certified Health Promoter for the Afghan Elderly Association. She was born and raised in Kabul, Afghanistan. She received her bachelors of Science in Math and Physics from Kabul Pedagogic Institute, Kabul, Afghanistan in 1986. After her studies, from 1982 till 1984, she began teaching at Naswan High School #10 and Naswan #3.
From 1985 till 1996, she became the Vice-Principal of Malalai High School and Naswan #3 High School. Her experience as the Vice-Principal led her to become the Principal of Bibi Mariam High School, Pakistan from 2000-2001. Humaira attended much training to advance her knowledge for the AEA's workforce. Humaira is very active with her clients, and the AEA. She has been working for the AEA since 2002. Her presence, time, skills, and abilities are greatly appreciated by everyone in the AEA.

Nasrin Mohammadi: Health Promoter
Nasrin Daoud Mohammadi is a Certified Health Promoter for Afghan Elderly Association. She's been proudly volunteering for AEA as a Peer Counselor, Exercise Trainer, and was a Board Member, since 2005. Nasrin was born in Kabul, Afghanistan and resided there for thirty five years. Nasrin received her diploma from Aiesha Durrani High School and acquired her Teaching Credentials from Afghan College. After receiving her credentials, she taught at the Afghan College for nine years. She has attended many courses to enhance her education with the necessary tools that will be used in the AEA's work force; such as Health Promoters Training, English courses, and certification in Adult CPR. After moving to the U.S. she expanded her education and attended additional courses to upgrade her skills. She was a teacher at Montessori School for four years. Some years of her life she experienced being a teacher at Happy Daycare Center. She has been living in the U.S. for twenty two years. Her presence, time, skills, and abilities are greatly appreciated by everyone in the AEA.

Hamida Obaid: Health Promoter
Hamida Z. Obeid is a Certified Health Promoter for the Afghan Elderly Association. She was born in Kabul, Afghanistan. She has lived in Afghanistan for twenty two years. Hamida graduated from Rabia Balkhi High School. She acquired her B.A. degree in Law from University of Kabul, Kabul, Afghanistan. She then moved to the U.S. and has been residing in the U.S.A for thirty years. In 1998, she received her certificate from Ohlone College as a Medical Assistant. She has a lot of experience in Medical coding and Billing. Hamida worked with R &B Enterprises, Bel Air, CA, where she maintained the estate with twelve staff members, and supervised the scheduling, payroll, and all staff. She has been a Health Promoter for the AEA since November 2006.Her presence, time, skills, and abilities are greatly appreciated by everyone in the AEA.

Hanifa Tokhi: Health Promoter
Hanifa S. Tokhi is a Certified Health Promoter for the Afghan Elderly Association. She has been proudly volunteering for the AEA as a Peer Counselor for two years, then began as a Health Promoter since November 2006. She was born and raised in Kabul, Afghanistan. She has been living in the U.S. for twenty five years. She received her B.S. in Chemistry and Biology from Kabul University, Kabul, Afghanistan in 1970. In 1970, she was an Assistant Professor at Faculty of Education & Engineering, Kabul, Afghanistan. In 1982, she was voluntarily working for the Afghan Refugee Orientation Associate. In 1991, she received her Certificate of Real Estate Principals and Finance from De Anza Community College In 2004 she received her Certificate in Peer Counseling.. Hanifa is very proficient in interaction with seniors. She is also currently running the Diabetes Program every Wednesday at the Healthy Aging Program. Her presence, time, skills, and abilities are greatly appreciated by everyone in the AEA.
